Role Of Women
In 18th century, women began to participate in labor and this period was the one when they started to have a major role in the society. However, there was no equality between the sexes, they didn´t have the same rights, for example the financial reward at work. Women were paid less, working the same amount of hours and same working conditions.
Characteristics of women during this period:
· Collaborating with the family economy
· The exercising their work in rural areas engaged in agricultural work or textile dealing with housework and caring for children.
· The poor peasant girls left their home and were employed in cities or family homes increased resources.
· In factories hand was used women workers long hours outside the home
· There was much difficulty in raising young children, and family life was very upset that there were no sick leave or maternity.
